Proposal for Holocaust Memorial on Atlantic City Boardwalk. The structure commemorates the loss of over six million lives. Comprised of two curved corten steel walls forming an open oval shape for visitors to pass through. Etched into black stone at the base of the structure are the words "never forget " in both English and Hebrew. Abstracted text of the words "never forget" in Hebrew are cut into the top of the corten steel walls. Six up lights on either side of the wall emerge from the ground and wash the surface creating a dramatic nighttime effect. The memorial is set in a gently sloped platform that is bound by benches for rest, reflection and meditation.
